FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do your tutors come to our home?
Yes. Our tutors can come to your home. You can also enroll onto our tuition classes at our at Shepherd’s Bush centre if you live locally.
How do you screen your tutors?
Applications received by our office team are reviewed carefully prior to interview offers being made. Tutors who are invited to interviews are required to bring original copies of the documentation requested by the office. Following a successful interview, tutors shall be taken on for a probationary period, the success of which shall determine whether or not they are approved to work with The Local Teachers.
How much does tutoring cost?
Do you offer any package deals or discounts?
All discounts must be discussed in person with the Managing Director. Please contact us to book an appointment.
How many hours of tutoring do most students need?
Even a ballpark figure cannot be given, since each individual’s needs differ. Generally, Initial Assessments are conducted to ascertain the student’s strengths and weaknesses. Once this has been marked, we can give tailored advice to each client regarding how much they could expect to pay over how many months.
What assistance can you offer parents?
Currently, discounts on prices are discussed, and given, solely at the discretion of the Managing Director. However, there are other ways to potentially save a significant portion of your fees with us. As we are a registered childcare provider with Ofsted, eligible parents could claim back, depending on the aid they are claiming, up to 85% of their tuition fees with us. All childcare assistance is discussed at our office – please determine what services you would like from us first, then arrange an appointment with us so we can aid you in the process.
